Lmao. The one he used was "custom". But it looks just like a big road runner to me. And I know this when I was a kid, I caught a lot of pond bass on them

Now is the time to start up an underspin company.
We used 'em a couple summers ago on Fork one day....in open water with the fish relating to nothing but balls of shad. Cast out, count down to 25ft, & steady retrieve. BAM! We landed close to dozen in the 5-7lb range. Lots of fun, vicious strikes.

I poured and built one tonight in about 5 minutes that's pretty close. Excited to try them out

Am I the only one that thinks that's a road runner?

I've been using bigger ones with lake fork live shad with some success for a few years. Just not used it a lot. Next year the dancin eel will make a comeback I guess

dude that's exactly what it is. He said his dad poured it from a Do It Pony head mold. This is the same size from the same mold. All it is is a big roadrunner

I've caught more bass over 5 pounds on a 1/8th ounce marabou road runner than all other lures combined here in kansas. All this is is a 3/8th ounce version with a bigger hook and an extra swivel basically

You would think the blakemore roadrunner people or whoever makes them should get some credit. They've been around for ever

It's nothing new. Kevin Hawk won the 2010 FLW Cup using an underspin bait. Aaron Martens used one in the 2004 Classic to get him one of his many 2nd place finishes

Re: Underspins - 02/24/15 01:40 AM
Oh I know it's not! But everyone is running out to get one I bet! I've honestly made 11 cast w it! I'm sure it has its place just crazy what a classic win will do to ONE bait!

Re: Underspins - 02/24/15 01:41 AM
Yeah I'll put a bigger blade on mine to just threw one on there I had laying around for a picture.
The X-Cite spin head works.
I use the 1/4oz and the 1/2oz.
Angler Pro Tackle has them in stock.
It's a good bait all year but even better in the winter.

I've throw the hog farmer too! It's a lot bigger that most underspins. It's a baitcasting gear under spin.
