To fish the actual FLW pro tour, you have to do good in the rayovac series then be invited to fish flw pro tour, but with entry fee being 1500$ as a boater for the rayovac series, you're technically a pro.

I didn't think you could pick and choose which events you want? I thought you had a deposit up front?

correct, Tour pro side is 100% complete season entries with deposits. Many dropped this year, but they also capped at 150 and then added 2 for clerical errors. Last year we had 170-180 most events and they let everyone in that signed up for season.

They have a qualification process, only top 100 from previous year automatically get in plus qualifiers from Rayovacs etc. I am not sure if everyone that wanted to do the season got in, my guess is no because they hit the 150 cap.

Coangler side they usually get around 90% that sign up for season and then there are always a few that can get into individual events.

PRO ENTRY: Entry in the FLW Tour requires a $6,000 deposit for the season. Pros are expected to fish all six qualifying tournaments. A pro may be permitted to miss a tournament for proper cause with prior approval from the tournament director. Missing a tournament without prior approval will result in ineligibility to participate in future 2015 FLW Tour events. The top 100 pros and the top 10 co-anglers from the 2014 FLW Tour, the top 10 pros from each division of the 2014 FLW Series and the boater champion from the 2014 BFL All-American must pay their deposits by December 1, 2014 in order to secure their priority entry position. For Ranger boat owners (Ranger owners with current registrations who will use their Ranger boat in FLW Tour competition) and sponsor entries (FLW may reserve sponsor spots in each qualifying tournament), deposits will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. Central time December 2, 2014. For TBF members, deposits will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. Central time December 3, 2014. For other entries, deposits will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. Central time December 4, 2014. Entry priority will be assigned by the date and time of entry. Entries may be made either by mail, phone or on the Internet at FLWFishing.com. Do not make entry by more than one method. A maximum field of 150 pros will be set prior to the first tournament, at which time pros not accepted into the field are eligible for a full refund or participation in a reserve pool to be called up for competition should a member of the original field of 150 drop out at any point during the season. Once called up to the FLW Tour, pros are expected to fish all remaining tournaments. If a reserve pool angler declines an invitation to compete, he or she will be dropped from the pool for the remainder of the season. Reserve pool anglers will receive a $1,000 deposit refund following each tournament they are not called up to fish. DEPOSITS ARE NONTRANSFERABLE AND NONREFUNDABLE ONCE ACCEPTED INTO THE FIELD. Any entry balances not received by the entry balance deadline (excluding reserve pool anglers called up after the deadline) will be charged a $100 late fee.

What's bad is I have a buddy that Won a Raovac last yr and competed in all them and was going to step up and fish the FLW this year and got turn down because of the cut line ,, then there's some 16 yr old kid fishing the tour that hasn't done much but has a rich family.. Kind of poor deal the Raovac winners should have got first shot after the top 100 tour from yr before.
