Welsh question

Welsh question - 02/13/15 03:27 PM

I am trying to fish Welsh Monday and I know there is some nasty weather coming in. Having never fished a power plant lake, what will this sudden temperature drop do to the fish? Just looking for some advise on what I should do to land a few fish. Thanks in advance

I don't know about Welsh but some of the best days I've very had on Monti when it was a heated lake in the winter were days like what is forecast for Monday. Had another guy once tell me that his favorite time to fish a hot water lake was when it was snowing.

I've fished Welsh in a snow storm and did real well. Biggest issue I had was getting home after the days fishing!

The pressure will be dropping with the front moving in and they will bite! Probably fish in spawn and post spawn by now. That is a fun lake, enjoy it!
