Daiwa, 2000 to 2500 size, best spinning reel for the money IMO.

Pflueger Supreme MGX, $99.

Very good reel for the money.

I say shimano but they make so many different models you could spend any where between $40 - $700.

The Abu Garcia Orra SX spinning reel is a great reel and priced at $99 in most stores. I use this reel for my drop shot and it has performed excellent.

I use the same and would recommend it to anyone, I consider it one of the best for the money. Abu Garcia has always done right by me, and I recommend them to everyone, great products and support. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck with that set up.

I use the Shimano Stradic FJ which runs around $150-170 but the Symetre is pretty much the same reel and its $100. I have both and they both work really well.

I like wide-spool reels for dropshots to cut down on line twist. Basspro has 2 in your range, the Pro Qualifier and Johnny Morris. They have decent drag systems and they're light. I'd use either one with no worries.

A lot of good reels mentioned...

I've come to like a 6:1 gear ratio compared to 5:1, but I wouldn't say it's a necessity.

Okuma makes a couple good models under that price point.

+1 for the Shimano Symetre.. I have 1500's and have caught fish up to 6.5lbs so far on them. I like the handle on the 1500's vs the 2500, basic difference is the amount of line on the spool I think. 1500 holds 140yds of 8lb, more than enough for me. I got mine on Ebay for around $50.. new I think they are $99.
