Re: WHERE TO FISH AT SAM RAYBURN BIG BASS SPLASH - 04/23/1412:58 PM
Heck I can't fish it but if I could I would try a main lake or a secondary point next to a major creek. Try 15 to 30 feet for post spawn females and use a jig, T-rigged Senko, Sexy shad crank, or a Chatterbait.

Might want to wear your hunter blaze orance and put flashing lights on the boat to avoid being run over. The fish are for the most part going post spawn and moving back out onto points and flats, There are a few still on the beds down south but the warm weather has that winding down too. Carolina rig on the flats, and flukes and wacky rigs up in 3 to 5 feet of water will catch fish, but big ones are gonna be scattered. And Seriously be careful there will be a lot of boats on the water and many will be inexperienced with the lake and the crowded conditions on the lake.

Thank you so much for the tip - my wire caught a nice one, but she got bumped off the by the end of our hour. She has been pretty successful jigging a watermelon red worm with a chartreuse tail (Texas rig) all weekend. Thanks again.

Heard a report that a big bass was weighed in, it was leading the tournament and then the guy was disqualified for not having a fishing license. Talk about not being ready!
