dine o mite, short fuse.

grass hates me and I hate grass. seems I lose more lures in that stuff than in a timber infested swamp

Weightless fluke, trig or a jig. If none of those worked, dropping a swimbait in there.

All i throw. Caught 2 7lbers, a 6, and 2 5.5s last week fishing grass beds with senkos. If those dont work try a skinny dipper type bait. those always work for me as well.

If shallow grass, I'd throw a floating swimbait if the grass is not real matted.

Well, based on the responses, you're only gonna need about 17 set-ups to fish grass beds. smile

Frog, Buzzbait, and Fluke.

Would throw a Frog and a Buzzbait first and then follow up with Fluke on blowups that don't get hooked.

I love grass and grass loves me. Ask me again when it gets 20 ft. tall. Then I will personally come and help you catch them.

Shallow Grass:
- Pinch weighted Fluke
- Tweaked Hank Parker Spinner Bait
- Tweaked Zara Spook
- Sexy Shad Square Bill

Fished lots of grass up at Coleto Creek the other weekend. Caught 20 bass and 1 catfish all on Strike King jerk bait and T-rigged YUM Wooly Hawgtail in firetiger.

On a side note: Just started using Trokar hooks recently and man you can drive a hook thru the top of a bass' head with little effort using those things. Best hooks ever!

So many variables that would influence my answer. Those details would determine what technique I would use and then which lure(s) is best suited for the technique(s). Techniques catch fish, lures are just a part of the technique. Having said that here is some excellent information concerning a lure that is very well suited in and around aquatic grass http://thebbz.com/articles/2014/3/23/the-chatter-with-brett-hite

A top water lure of some sort @ daylight. Weightless 4 inch finesse worm as soon as the sun gets up all the way, throwing it at the pockets in the grass and letting it sink. As the sun gets up add some spit shot to make it sink a little faster and deeper. When the sun gets directly over head, it frog time.......but as long as they bite the finesse worm I stay with it..........I throw my finesse on 8 pound BPS Excel Mono with a medium light spinning set up. Sounds like suicide until you actually use it but trust me it works.......
