http://navionics.com/en/webapp

If you have a navionics card you can download their PC app that is even better.

While it's not a "map" per se, Google Earth allows you to click on older satellite images such as 2009 and 2011 and see the lakes when they were super low. You can also overlay USGS topo maps that help as well.

That sure makes is easier than sitting in the boat staring at my lowrance laying out a plan of attack for the next day. Thanks!

http://mapper.acme.com/ is a fun one to play with to make you own. I have used it to create waypoints on my HB GPS unit with the LAT and LONG coordinates.

Zoom in and look at the topo view of Fork.

Double Click the kml file. Dialog box opens asking if you want to open or save.
Click Save. Google Earth opens and the kml file is added to your Temporary Places.
Right Click the related place name and rename it to a meaningful name.
Click and drag the renamed place to My Places folder to preserve it.

Hope this helps.

tnris.org

The site has huge amounts of Texas data and good aerial imagery from various years but they're heavy and can only be viewed on software that will open a shapefile.

Re: on line maps - 02/09/14 09:09 PM

Thanks for sharing dude, this kinda info really makes me appreciate this great bass forum. I am also impressed with the info available from the State of Texas, way better than anything we have up here in MN

I have been using Google Earth just to check out points and humps obvious shoreline structure, inside turns etc. This takes it about 10 levels beyond that.

On the video the guy sounded like he could check current tides etc. How often are these Google pictures updated?
