Tough day definitely, the barometric pressure was on the rise from a fall and the cold front just passed. I found nothing, on everything. One fish took a crankbait as a sample and decided he didn't like it. So he spit it back out

Thank you slim 285 I really appreciate the compliment. Coachpete it was anything but easy today, only about 6 teams had more than two fish and only 19 teams out of of 75 I believe weighed fish.

Congrats to the Sanger team for the win on a tough day. My grandson and his partner had one fish and they said that they had to work hard for that one.

Tough is an understatement!! I captained my son and his fishing partner from Bullard. We had one bite total all day and it came at 2:15 pm. It was a keeper that weighed 2.51 lbs, good enough for 9th place. All of these kids need a break from the tough bite and are due a good tournament.

It was a very tough day indeed. I live on the lake and hit all my favorites to no avail trying to put my team on some fish. Watching the barometer rising as it did all day on my phone app. told me we were in for a tough one.

Kudos to those who managed to catch a few!

On to Monticello and hopefully a better, more fun day for the anglers.

Made the milk run and it was sour.. water temp averaged 46-47 most everywhere we went. Cedar Creek fish go on a food strike when it's that cold. Tough lesson for all the kids that fished.
I will say that I've never heard as much laughing and cutting up before a tourney - they seemed to be having a good time.

When the water gets that cold on Cedar Creek you need to stay home. I tried like crazy to get my team on fish and it never happened one bite on crank. I will never understand why tournament are held on this lake late December-Febuary it's just so tough for anglers even if u know the lake
