Favorite Shaky Head Soft Plastic - 04/21/12 05:43 AM

I've been partial to RoboWorms but was curious what y'all preferred for a shaky head? Thought about picking up some Strike King 3X Elaztech Finesse Worms. Thoughts?

I like the Strike King KVD Finesse worms better than the Elaztech. What you are using now, Roboworms, are hard to beat. All the above suggestions are good baits.

Thanks y'all! I've had good luck with the RoboWorms but they were getting torn up pretty quick thus my interest in the Elaztech. I'll have to try out y'alls suggestions though!

If your wanting to throw something different than a worm try the xcite craws, they float and they can be deadly on a shakey head!

Re: Favorite Shaky Head Soft Plastic - 04/23/12 01:27 AM

I know it's not exactly what the "pro's" throw, but I always use the shaky head with the little screw wire. I bought some Z-man worms at the classic expo, thinking wow, floating worms! but they are like the strike king 3X stuff and I cannot screw the worm to the jighead. I always use zoom trick worms in 4 or 7 inch. If you can find them, half ounce football head shaky heads with berkley craws work great..

I use them with Big bite baits 4" Rojos fighting frogs(look like a crawfish) And they work excellent!

Re: Favorite Shaky Head Soft Plastic - 04/24/12 02:42 AM

Like the reply before kicker fish's hole shot comes in two size's and a lot of great colors. Size's are 7" for a longer profile and 4 3/4 for smaller shaky head, a great color too check out is there sour grape it's killer. Also they are very strong and you can catch lots of fish on one worm before they tear. (if they tear)The latest bait that I have been shaky heading and doing well with is there new bubble fry it's a good bait for a bulkier profile. Good luck!

Zipper hand pours, they are made of a high float plastic, by far best shakey head worm out there.

It's a pain in the rump, but carry a lighter and try heating that wire a bit. The worm should go on then.
