I am looking for information on fishing dead or dying grass. Is it a waste of time or do bass still use the brown stuff?

The brown, Dying grass will actually suck oxygen out of the water instead of produce it, Its best to find something live.

If you have grass in your lake, try looking for the coots, they will almost always help you find the areas of green grass, especially this time of year.

Submerged brown grass is no good. Matted surface dead/brown grass can be awesome...

Early last spring I tore em up in some nasty, what looked to be dead, hydrilla on Fork with rattle traps. Grass could have been just fried from the cold, but it looked dead.
