I throw 12lb Vicious all day, everyday... have yet to break off a fish in a tournament this year.

I have had better luck with Vicious than any other floro. Just have to be extra careful with your knots.

I think they are about the same, but the Vicious Elite that is coming out soon blows P-line away. It is on par with Sunline for about half the price.

I would recommend Seaguar.

P line 100%. Can't break it,good abrasion resistance,low stretch, a little memory,but it's a fluourocarbon,not a co polymer. Good price for a good product. FZ1 knows best.

p-Line!!! vicious is horrible

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/10/10 05:47 PM

Vicious has the most memory of an flourocarbon line I have ever fished. I can't stand that.

p-line vicious is horrible its the worst floro ever made go with lakefork tackle line its the best out there.

I spooled vicious on one of my reels and took it off that afternoon and threw the rest in the trash..

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/10/10 06:55 PM

I would even recommend Vanish over Vicious. It is very, very wirey. P-Line will last longer on your reels which helps to equalize the price.

I use vicious for prefishing or fun fishing only. PLine or XPS for tournaments!

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/10/10 09:36 PM

I used vicious one time and it was terrible. I wasnt fishing ridiculously heavy cover and I had knicks and everything all over my line just from dragging across points with brush.

I use Vicious and have never had a major issue with it. It does have some memory, but nothing that a good bottle of line conditioner can't fix!

+1

And for an even tougher fluorocarbon line, I like P-line Halo.

BPS Flouro is a hell of a line. and you can buy it in jumbo spools. Normally I don't buy anything that has BPS on it as most things they make are [censored]. But this line has won me over. I have trouble breaking 8lb line when i need to.

I personally don't like the Vicious line. Give Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon a try.

P-Line is better than Seaguar and vicious.

I too put 17 lb. Vicious on 1 rod, did not finish the day, took it off in the middle of a fishing day and gave the rest to a guy in our club I don't like.

it is the best flipp'n flouro I have found. I flip with 20 and havn't broke a fish off... multiple fives at ivie flip'n in NASTY hard woods No problem. teach yourself a better knot than a palimar and be careful when you sinch it and it gets even better

P-Line no contest....Vicious is trash....I bet the guys saying vicious is better have never even tried the p-line. P-Line halo is really the way to go. Best flouro I have ever tied on. Used vicious for about 2 hrs and like cborden did I threw it in the trash as soon as I got back to the ramp

Vicious is too stiff for me,..in the trash.

I have not had any issues with it except early on with knot strength. Changed over to a San Diego Jam knot and that problem when away.

I use many brands, never used Vicious but can say I have been extremely pleased with P-Line.

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/12/10 03:17 PM

When I was using it I got way more breakoffs with 15 lb Visious than 15 lb P line 100% florocarbon.

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/12/10 04:06 PM

One thing I notice with the visious is that it is alot ticker than other florocarbons or atleast it seemed that way.

Re: Vicious flourocarbon Vs. P-Line flourocarbon - 08/12/10 06:34 PM

I use P-Line 100% flurocarbon over them all.
