PA to Texas - 01/24/23 03:41 AM

Good Evening! Just wanted to say hi as I've recently moved from PA to Whitehouse, Texas. I'm enjoying the milder winter and being able to fish a heck a lot more. Now I just need to get used to navigating these ETX stumps. Bought a few Boatlane map cards of some of the local lakes this past week. Might take a guide trip or two on Fork and Palestine. I know this will be a loaded question as there are so many guides but any recommendation would be appreciated. Hope to see y'all out on the water. Thanks!!

for fork there are a few good guides.

if you have his boatlanes for fork lance vick is about as good as you will do for learning the lake.

most any of the guides can help you figure it out.

Welcome to Texas and the TFF. I have a younger brother that lives in Coudersport, PA and he doesn’t do anything but shovel snow from thanksgiving to March. What brought you to Texas?

Lake Tyler is a good lake to fish close to you.

For Lake Tyler and Lake Palestine the only guide name you need to know is Tom Mayne.

They just elected a vegetable to be their state Senator in John Fetterman. I would want to get the hell out as well. Pretty sad when Joe Biden has more brain cognitivity than him. The Dems sure do know how to pick them.

Fishing and freedom brought me to Texas. My wife works for the VA and she saw a job posting at the Tyler Clinic. I convinced her to apply and the rest is history. I've been working from home so I took advantage of it.

Yep, just got out in time. Can't believe but at the same time I could, they would elect Fetterman. Unfortunately that state is controlled. by filthy Philly, Pittsburgh, and corruption. I haven't looked back smile

Welcome to TFF. Tom Mayne is the boss on Palestine. As a veteran with disability ratings, thank your wife for what they do to support the veterans.

Welcome!
We moved here from the Scranton area in 1979 and have never looked back. Taxes ,dirty politics and job opportunities brought us to this great state 😀🇺🇸

Welcome to Texas Stosh B! We toured the countryside in PA in 2021. Was beautiful. Stayed away from the big cities. Got to see Gettysburg. Couldn't believe those people elected that idiot. Glad yall made it down here!!

Hit up LOP and Palestine if you want to truly fish the best 2 lakes in Texas, IMO.
