Multiple Lake Spring Bass Trip Ideas

Has someone put together a couple week spring trip through Texas?

I happen to be in a position to take time off in large chunks and think I can spend 2 weeks in March/April fishing multiple places.

I Like to fish shallow(no forward sonar).
Small or big lakes, just looking to start south and work north back to Kansas City.

Have a friend will drive down with me and fly back halfway through.

Have been to Fork a few times, Athens and Palestine but that is it.

Any help Would be great and appreciate

That’s a tough one, lots of lakes in Texas that you don’t hear much about, stay away from the ones you read about on fishing forums.

March and April should be good for East Texas. Maybe good for North Texas depending on how late Winter is, South Texas may be post spawn and more difficult in late March.
Lakes like Tbend and Rayburn probably have the most forgiveness with timing as they are larger and the fish ay be in all 3 phases.
My hitlist would be Rayburn, Naconiche, Palestein, Fork, Caddo
Start South and head North

I have been reading of a lot of smaller lakes around the Nacogdoches area and wondered if smaller lakes would be better than the larger ones. Seems the weather flexibility with bigger lakes does make sense.

Of those you list, Naconiche is one I see quite a bit about.

If I were to try smaller lakes like Pinkston, Kurth, Gimer etc, any stand out as pitching/flipping specific lakes?

I kinda like the idea of not running much on big Texas lakes that I don’t have a guidelanes chip for.
