Raker/Fury - 11/03/22 12:27 AM

So the boat I bought is a basscat cougar. It's a 2019 with an evenrude 250 g2 h/o. It came with a raker prop on it and a fury prop extra. I was wondering if anyone can get me detailed directions on how to put the fury on. I can not figure it out ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Posted on other thread also don't know which is best to get help.

Does the fury have a hub in it?

Your going to need a flo torque hub kit for evinrude. Itโ€™s a delrin sleeve and spline bushing that fits inside the prop. If it wonโ€™t work as is now it can be assumed you have the wrong one in it.

It has a spline and a brass like thrust washer I'm sure the precious owner used it. I just don't know the sequence and the thrust washer for the raker seems like it don't come off. ๐Ÿ˜•

Does this thrust washer need to come off for the fury prop or does it come off?

take a screwdriver and place behind the washer, gently pry up while tapping the shaft with a hammer. don't smack the shaft, tap right in front of the thrust washer.

that is not the right one for the fury either.

Seems like the washer I had for my fury was skinnier, but I have a Merc.

I have a skinnier one that was with the fury this one is for the raker. So this does come off correct?

Yes, it will come off. Put grease on the shaft and the splines when installing the props next time.

Will the hub inside the raker prop fit the fury prop?

If so you can knock it out with a hammer and the end of a 2x4 then reverse the same process to install it in the fury prop.

I donโ€™t think Erude props use flo-torque hubs though???

Skeeter, what pitch and condition is the Fury?

Re: Raker/Fury - 11/04/22 07:06 PM

raker is not a flo torque friendly prop.
