Way to go put it on them Louisiana boys!
I figured that there would have been more than 3 Texas teams there. We rolled into the meeting Friday evening and realized that just about every team in the tournament was a local there and had experience on the lake. We thought that we were about to get one of them old fashioned Rayburn/Toledo type butt whuppins by the locals especially after our the practice we had. If you have never been on that lake just picture Tawakoni meets Fork meets Caddo. Its an absolute struggle to move around the lake with any efficiency at all. You better idle if you ain't sure.
That being said those Louisiana boys were great. About as friendly as can be and we really appreciated how many took the time to come over and congratulate us as we we left weigh in then again at the ramp. Good people right there.
BTW D'Arbonne is a cool arse lake but those fish are a whole different breed. They don't do one damn thing like they should.... had you told us that we were going to a shallow water Louisiana lake in the fall with grass, wood and cypress trees and would not get a single topwater bite or buzz=bait bite in 3 days and only 1 frog bite I would not have believed it at all.....
