Lake Fork ramps

Lake Fork ramps - 07/30/22 06:46 AM

Had to put a new motor on my Champion and just picked it up today. Took it to the 154 public ramp and UT was very shallow at the courtesy dock. Long story short. Took a short 30 minute drive to start the break in and the wind picked up. Bent my prop, luckily it was an aluminum that I was using for the break in. Another boater told me he hit his also right before me but he had a stainless prop. Have to go buy another one and was wondering are there any better options at other ramps with the lake level right now? Hoping there is a better option somewhere otherwise I may just have to leave the boat at home until the water comes back up.

I checked out the minnow bucket today and courtesy dock looked like it was a little deeper so will be trying it tomorrow. Do you know if you can pay if the store is already closed? Was thinking about doing some night fishing

we launched out of there Thursday morning with no problems. Since there is no envelope system, I guess they don/t worry about it.

Minnow Bucket on that end of lake, Popes in the middle, 17 pub on west side and Vals on the NW side.

Make sure to trim up when you get in around the shore, I have dinged a few props when it gets low

I checked out Minnow bucket and it looks pretty good. I do try to trim the motor up and that was easy with the old 2 stroke but trying to figure out the weird shape of these 4 strokes is throwing me off a bit. My old Champion sits low in the rear already and the added weight really dropped it.
