Lake Fork gator on a C-Rig

Lake Fork gator on a C-Rig - 07/23/22 06:11 PM

I’ve had gators follow my topwater but I never would have dreamed I’d see one get caught on a Carolina rig. Happened yesterday fishing with clients on Lake Fork. Here’s a link to a video.

Well that was cool. You don't see that every day.

There were 2 of them in the back of little caney last year that could've made that one just a tiny little appetizer.

There was one at Sam Raburn about 15 years ago that could've eaten the 2 big ones in the back of little caney at the same time.

Pake! How come when I fish with you all we catch is a bunch of big ol bass? I didn’t know there was an alligator option. I need some new boots.

Caught in the foot! That's how I've caught most of the turtles I've caught while bass fishing.

Snagged one on a rattle trap on Rayburn. I lost that trap.

That Gator has been in the back there for some time.

By the way that is a great place to fish.

The current rips through there!

If you think you have a gator better keep that finger near the spool or the scissors nearby.

Had a college roommate catch one on one of my favorite rods in Louisiana. When he got it to the surface it immediately started spinning and rolled that rod all the way up to the reel before he finally let go and it happened in the blink of an eye.
