Lake Waco - 06/22/22 12:21 PM

If you are thinking of coming to fish it you might want to rethink it. They close the boat ramps at Airport and Airport Beach Friday because of the drought. The lake is 7 feet low at the dam but there is 12 to 22 feet of dry land that was underwater in April.

It’s Waco. Thats never going to happen. Someday after the summer drought is over it will be 7’ OVER full within a 24 hr period. Waco is “feast or famine”!

It should be called yo yo lake, it eathe was up or way down. If and when it get back to normal pool there is going to some great grass and bush to fish. I was on it last Friday and had good day fishing, and notice the growth on the banks, then they closed the ramps that i use. Now i got to drive around to koehne park to get on it.
