OH Ivie Tips - 06/01/22 02:23 PM
What depth has been productive lately? Any fish in brush up river? Headed up there in a couple of weeks. What's the hot technique right now?

Not sure what the people without livescope are catching them on, I’m at Ivie as we speak and it hasn’t been great for the last two days. The only people I see catching them are the livescopers.
Tip-check your roller before going.
Tip-check your roller before going.
Cause them boys from Oklahoma roll em too thin and way too long

You don’t need livescope to catch fish on Ivie right now.

my #1 tip is stop at Elm Creek for a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito before you hit the water.

They are out feeding pretty heavy. I couldnt find the big ones but had a boat full of 2-3 lb fish. We fished all over the lake and had similar results. I was throwing weightless flukes and shaky head finesse worms. Also, the elm creek burrito is always a good choice!

I should have said I’ve been catching small fish but not what I’m looking for. Also I only make it there once a year and it takes me a few days to figure it out.

Small top waters and jerkbaits early, then soft plastics (anything with some red in it seemed to produce the best) in 15-25’ in deepest brush on main lake points. Also caught decent fish on suspending jerkbaits (6-8’) over brush in 15x18’ throughout the day.
Or you can stare at your screen all day.
Didn’t catch any giants this weekend with big fish about 6.5, but had a few 5’s, and several 4’s and 3’s. I consider that a solid weekend for me.
If you fish less than 15’, especially that 8-12’ range, be prepared to lose lots of gear to the zebra muscles.
