MLF Ghost TM Question

MLF Ghost TM Question - 04/13/22 04:59 PM

Sorry if someone has already commented on this....looks like every one of the boats from yesterday and today (when I finally started noticing) has the Ghost TM on it. I saw someone in an earlier post ask if they were fishing in their own boats or a "sponsored" boat. Does that impact the TM used? Safe to assume Ghost is not the preferred TM by every single one of these pros????

I assume they are MLF boats. I saw Nitro, Phoenix and BassCat. I assume all rigged the same. Lowrance trolling motor and 9” graphs

The 18’8” boats are all rigged exactly the same.

They've moved up to 19 footers now

Bout time. I don’t know how they put three dudes in one of those boats and got it up on pad.

I see the BassCat is a Caracal too. I assume all are still equipped with 200s. That’s a big boat with 3 guys, poles and the rest of the stuff

It's not a Caracal. They are the new Pantera Classic

Adding on to this thread. Is the new Motor Guide motor not even in the same ballpark as the Ghost, Garmin or Ultrex?

Some of them are Caracals, the ones I saw.

Pantera Classic doesn't have the day box behind the TM pedal, the pedal setback or the clear "handrails" beside driver and passenger.

None of them are the Pantera Classic.

I heard Marty say earlier in the week that the boats are rented...

they are using their cup boats and I would guess to not tear up their tour rigs

They have been using the rented (cup boats) for heavy hitters

"Rented" Hmmm.... I bet they are as rented as the vehicles they use to ferry golfers around during the Byron Nelson and Colonial. I'm sure they'll be up for sale after the event, Low Hours DEMO boats!

They are not Classics, they’re Caracals. I think they use to use the Classic.

....for sale, no doubt, I read an article a couple years ago, explaining how to go about buying their used cup boats

No. Bought one a year ago and it was replaced about 6 months after purchased. This one lasted 5 months before it started acting up. This time I dang near got hurt and it bent the shaft when it took off into the rocks with no user input. Shop said parts could be 2-4 months out. I bought a Garmin Force and when the Motorguide gets fixed or replaced with a new one it will be for sale the second it arrives..
