Bridgeport or Eagle Mountain

Bridgeport or Eagle Mountain - 04/02/22 11:44 AM

Got a buddy coming in from out of town this weekend. Haven’t go to fish much lately so not sure how fishing is. Anyone catching anything and BP or EM?

Not me... but a friend and forum member told me he did well up in the shallows on Bridgeport last Thursday morning. He always catches more fish on Bridgeport than Eagle Mountain. I fish Eagle Mountain frequently since I live within a block of the lake and it has been slow for me. I'd pick Bridgeport over Eagle Mountain every time for bass.

Eagle mountain needs to be drained.

No, some of us enjoy Eagle Mountain. It is usually feeding Lake Worth already.

Give some of us peasants a pointer or two. I caught 1 today and 2 yesterday.

I got nothing for you. I am a fellow peasant grinding out a good bass or two when I can. Eagle Mountain needs more structure in my opinion.

That is no lie. One fish from every 25th dock is a beating.

I wouldn't waste the gas to drive out here to Bridgeport. I'd go to Eagle Mountain.

I live close to EM and go to BP 2 to 3 times a week, I'm catching them in 6 to 12 ft off ledges on June bug creatures down the ledges, the river gets pretty dark the further up you go but you can get out of the wind wherever it is coming from, good luck

I've been fishing from mid lake back north on Eagle Mt. Raise your trolling motor and fish docks and reeds. They're shallow all year long anyways, but this time of the year they're even more shallow.

Been catching them shallow on Bridgeport also. Saw some on beds last week out there.

They're pre-spawn to full blown spawn on both lakes right now!

This was at EM last weekend. Just shy of 10lbs.

Very nice. Maybe I need to fish weightless baits or something slow.

My dad and I caught 2 in that deal. Dumped them and left.
