New Livescope transducer or a photoshop???

New Livescope transducer or a photoshop??? - 02/18/22 01:02 AM

Looks like a leak was made or someone did a great job photoshopping the ad. Garmin claims it’s not real, but sure looks real. It would explain the sudden discount on LS.

Garmin is supposedly coming out with a new one that will blow everything else on the market away in the next month or so.

Don't doubt for a moment that it isn't real. Why else would Garmin just slash the price of the current unit. Pretty much what all electronic manufacturers to right before launching the latest and greatest.

It's real.

There is zero chance that they aren't going to introduce something very soon. On forward facing sonar, they are ahead of everyone and my guess is they have been working on a 2nd Gen transducer, which I'm sure will outperform all their peers. They have several new patents that have been registered since their original forward sonar patent.

Probably real. Why else sell your technology to Lowrance and Bird without having something else coming? I have heard Lowrance is working on a 360 like Hummingbirds.

It's already out. All you need is a Ghost with an Active Imaging 3in1 transducer connected to a Live or Carbon. Free software upgrade was released a few weeks ago.

Garmin has MAP pricing so its the same everywhere. About the only way to save is buy online out of state where there's no sales tax

I'll repeat what I was told peep

Miami boat show, Bassmaster Classic, and I Cast.

If and only if something were to come out these are the events for releasing new products. Check Miami off the list as its happening right now.

Re: New Livescope transducer or a photoshop??? - 02/19/22 02:06 AM

So the GT54 transducer is the old one? and those cheaper 7 inch units are compatible with the potentially "old model" livescope and are on clearance? and the new livescope "system" is $1699....but the transducer only is $1199 only? And do you need the "system"?

Do I need to spend the $1699 or can I do the $1199 if I only want livescope and dont care about any other options like 2d, SI, DI?....and then get whatever head/screen unit I want?

Slowly talking myself into this over mega360 because 360 can definitely target spots better.....but I think when it comes to targeting giants live does way more than 360 ever could. Not that ill ever catch a giant...just hypothetically speaking roflmao

With the LVS34 you will still need the GLS10 black box no matter what head unit you use.

I know right! Don't forget the price slashing.....$200. New stuff rolls out every few years but I'm happy with my current Livescope.

False not currently. I could sale LVS32 for 1k if I wanted to currently and they won’t blink an eye. It’s a discontinued item now.
