I may be going next Saturday. My plan is to fish Fork or a tournament but if the tournament thing doesn't work out and Fork is stacked to the rafters, Holbrook here I come. I absolutely love that little lake.

Just my opinion, but it's one of the most overpressured and overrated lakes in East Texas. We used to do better there 5-10 years ago. Like all lakes it still has big fish in it, I just think that either the population is not as dense as other lakes or they have been pressured to the point that the catch rate isn't overly good most of the time.

My bass club went there twice a year for a few years. I could never understand why. We fish much better lakes.

We’ve lost several big fish out of that lake, by breakoffs, hook coming out, etc… we’ve done decent on it and don’t fish it but every 3-4 months when we want a change in pace.
