Got skunked on my first trip to Fairfield (was closed)

The dadgum lake was closed for hunting, I never knew lakes closed for hunting. Drove 300 miles today to fish a local lake that is 30 min from my house.. All ended well, and all things happen for a reason. Don't do what i did..


Scheduled Closures

The entire park is closed on these dates:

From 5 p.m. on Dec. 26 until 1 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2021

From 5 p.m. on Jan. 4 until 1 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2022

Been doing it as long as I can remember.

That got to kill off some of those Shetland size deer that are in the park .

Best to call a head on all state parks/wma in hunting season. Most do some type of hunts for population control.

Need to hunt the wild boar. They're everywhere.

Hammered? Fairfield? What; was there 6 boats there last week?

I do believe you are allowed unlimited hogs if you draw a deer permit. Some parks will also do hog hunt draws after deer season.
