Ring Fee vs Ring Clean - 11/24/21 02:59 PM

I just saw a reference to Ring Clean. I have always used Ring Free. Looks like Ring Clean is cheaper. Is it as good or should I stick with Ring Free??

StarTron is a quality brand - should be fine

I have used ring free for a long time, if it works, why change. I have seen guys go cheap and wished they had not, but it was too late.

My last rebuild cost me $9,000. How long would it take for the savings to make it worthwhile?

My problem was caused by a small hole allowing water to get into cylinders, not the products I was using.

I think it’s the other way around. Startron probably makes Yamahas product for them. I can promise that Yamaha doesn’t make it. They make a LOT of stuff, from motors to drum sets, but I don’t think they’re in the refinery business.

They do have a cheaper one that’s only a fuel stabilizer. Ring free plus as it’s called now does both. Fuel stabilizer, de carbonizer.

Ring Clean also decarbonizes. Interestingly, it says to put it in your gas every four or five gas ups. I always use Ring Free in every gas up. I may be over doing it.

people will cringe, but I have not used ring free at all in my SHO since I bought it new in 2016.

I agree with the comment above, why change if its been working? Cheaper may not always be better.
My mechanic told me if I do use something to stay with it and not to change it up over time. just my thoughts.
