My wife voluntold me I was helping one of her friends kids out Saturday. For the HS kids they bumped the fee down to $10, you had to slide it through the door of the store. Lake was trashy, busy, had a nice Dallas sewer bloom going, and tough for the kids I was helping out. Chandlers ramp was decent though and I felt like my truck would still be there when we came in. My first time on RH and if I can help it, it may be my last.
We have done decent on Hubbard because we have been fishing it for many years, but it is a toilet 100%. We actually nicknamed it lake sh!t pit many years ago. When the water gets about 4 feet low there are actually a bunch of toilets that someone dumped in the lake many years ago that you start to see at that level.
You used could go up north and there were miles of flats and grass and pretty water. But, with all the construction run off and all the trash the bank fisherman dump up there, that area is turning into the same sewer water. Funny thing is run up the west arm to the Rowlett creek area and there are matts of floating water bottles and trash that go on for hundreds of feet.
Population growth has def ruined the lake.
