Mobile Mechanic?

Is there a mobile mechanic in dfw that can accommodate a simple compression check and see how many hours are on my motor? I need this done ASAP! I have a man who lives in Missouri who wants to buy it and is ready to go as soon as that’s done. I took it to fun n sun Tuesday and they are telling me it’s going to be next week or the week after next before they can get to it. I’m not very happy about that but that’s a different story. I just need this done ASAP like tomorrow would be good if anyone is available

Hey Joel it’s Jake, I got a guy. Hit me up in the morning and I’ll get you his info. He does stay pretty busy and he’s coming out of Anna I think so maybe if you can meet him somewhere he might be able to get to it faster.

I may me in your area today (Sunday) or tomorrow on another project. What motor? Compression is not an issue and if it’s an Evinrude/Johnson, I can scan it for hours, faults, etc. - no charge…

joel, you can buy a tester at any auto parts or auto zone and I think oriellys will loan them.

easy to do and you can video it as you do it for the buyer, did that once so he could see before he drove to me.

I am not remotely close to being a mechanic BUT I bought a $30 compression kit from Autozone and tested my Yamaha outboard for the potential buyer. He didn't ask that video'd the process but that is probably a safe thing to do. I took a picture of each reading and which cylinder was checked. I watched a few videos on Youtube and it was VERY easy. Probably took no more than 10 minutes total for all six cylinders.

I texted Joel this weekend, Fun N Sun was able to get it done for him.
