What is your favorite square bill crank bait

Looking to try some new crank baits any suggestions?

I like backwater bluegill, boiled crawfish, and blue-treuse shad.

I love a square bill. I probably have a couple hundred in total. But I've probably caught more on an Academy brand H2O CRS than I have any of them.

anyone that catches fish. It's more about confidence and presentation.

Strike King, Xcite, Lucky Craft, Bandit, Spro and 6th Sense other other brands I have success with. I use different brands based upon color selection, action, rattles, etc.

Bandit 100
Xcite XB-1
Strike King 1.5

Bandit 100 when there's grass and the fish are shallower

Xcite XB-1 just about always tied on

Stirke King 1.5 when the bait being blown up is smaller

I don't throw square bills that much, but I've caught a lot of fish on the CRS and the CRD (the next deeper 3/8 oz model).

If you have 4 different brands of square bills that have the same depth range, how does the presentation change?

No matter how much confidence you have in a bait, if it does not appeal to the fish, you won't get bit on it.

It is better to figure out what they want that day, and then stick with that. Some days it is very specific, some days many presentations and baits will work. It all depends on the fish.
