I'm not sure which one is my favorite they don't make anymore but thought it'd be interesting to hear what some of you had on your list. Pics would be cool too!

its not, the xcalibur ones were 5/8oz, the booyah are 1/2oz. I've got some of the XR50 in rayburn red and those things are gold to me

About 25 years ago there was a a lure that looked sort of like a skirted spoon (except more angular) called an Aggravator that was deadly over hydrilla. I think they got sued over the name, then started calling it Doc’s Grassmaster. I’ve never been able to find anything with the same wobble. You could work it on the surface over the grass or slow it down and run it about a foot under the surface.
For several years we caught tons of nice bass on them on the Arkansas river.
I remember buying my 1st one the day before I went camping and fishing with my grandad during spring break when I was in med school. He fished a lot of tournaments back in the 70s and was pretty competitive about bass fishing. The 1st two days of our trip I kicked his butt ( like 10 to 1) fishing from the back seat, and I only had one of the lures. The 3rd day he found an excuse to drive 70 miles each way to a town where he could buy a few.

I fished a lot on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. Lily pads, cypress trees and duck weed. We used a skirted spoon called a Rex Spoon. Very popular in the area. Very good in duck weed.

Killed the bass on them all year long until I ran out. Called the company when I couldn't find any in the tackle shops and they said " we discontinued them for lack of demand." Nobody told the bass to stop eating them.

There was a zipper style worm I used to get at the Academy worm bar. Haven't been able to find it in many years. Seen some baits that are close, but never exact. Found a couple of bags tucked away in my garage a few years back.

That reminded me, Berkley had a hand pour finesse worm, it reminded me of robo worms before they went national except without the salt, they were super soft like a Producto worm. There was one particular clear water color I don't know what they called but they ate that thing like they had never seen it.

Back in the 80's I had a purple worm with a white curly tail. It was a big bass magnet. I haven't been able to find any like it since 1995

It’s exactly what they do, they buy them out just to get rid of the competition. Gene Larew is another one of their acquisitions and it’s not looking good.

Flying Lure the original, I've seen them online but they aren't the same as the OG. These things were my dock magic. Laugh all you want, but those little bastards slid into spots like the video showed. Caught many a large fish with them.

No doubt! Caught a lot of big fish on those, from Texas to Florida, to the Potomac River. Uncle Josh's Porker - a similar bait - never came close to the Pork-O's results. Still have a few colors and sizes left that I have reboiled and resalted through the years, but not in the sizes/colors I really like.

Probably before some of you guys were born, Rebel Super R I have 4 or 5 but unlike some of you guys I keep one tied on all time. What good is a favorite lure if you don’t use it?

Sounds like the Riverside Floating Air Series baits. They made them in Lizards, Craws, Fry, and probably a worm as well. The lizard and Fry were incredible. I still have a few but have not fished them in years because I dont do much carolina rigging anymore. Those suckers would float a 5/0 hook with no issues at all.

The one soft bait I am always looking for is the original Mister Twister Hawg Frawg. The ones they make today aint the same as the old ones.

The hard bait I am always looking for is a Rebel Mid Wee R. Seems like when I do find one they want a $20 bill for it.

Bagley balsa tin foil shad series. Had shallow, medium, and deep series. Their action was unbelievable.

Strike king made a smaller spook,, but it was a hollow body soft plastic. I think it was called the ghost.... It was awesome in the pads....

I saw these at BPS earlier today, they aren’t dark purple, they are a bit darker than the picture appears though.

So what did we get at BPS ?

Our BPS has always been very poor on selection of name brands, such as Megabass & most other popular things. I was surprised to see that they are now carrying the big Northstar battery, Megabass 110’s, many colors of jackhammers and a few other items that they never carried. But I really went because of a review I read on BBC about some ceramic cleaner/sprays. I grabbed a few bottles to try out, price wasn’t too bad on it, $14.99. Hopefully it’s works as good as those fellas claimed it does.

I saw a purple white tail phenom on Mr. Twister website (didn’t look that dark but might give it a try).

Off the top of my head none. Up until four years ago I was a two rod bank beater with no electronics. Top water/square bill and Texas rigged Zoom lizard, serious. I loved chucking and winding. Now I more rods than I care to mention and most of the time all I do now is drag a jig or some form of senko set up, damn internet .

I had a Chart/blue back Mann's baby 1- that I had casted and hit too many rocks with. The back end by the hook was spit and would fill with water so when I paused a retrieve it would rise head first to the surface instead of backing up. Only had one and have never been able to replicate it. Dang I caught a ton of fish on that bait!

My favorite? They still make this lure but not the color. Bass Pro Shops 4 inch Squirmin' Worm. Black with a blue tail. Most of the money I won these worms were always the reason or at least part of the reason. This was my " get bit no matter what" go to lure.

My late father-in-law's all-time favorite bait, with which he trolled for untold miles behind his boat on Lake of the Ozarks was the REBEL DEEP WEE-R in the colors of chrome/black back. This one right here...



We caught so many largemouth and walleye up there in Missouri and here largemouth and white bass where I live on Lake Travis and the Pedernales I still have about a half dozen, but I don't fish them.
