Fishing Lake Timpson

Fishing Lake Timpson - 05/29/21 03:47 PM

Anyone been to Timpson lately? Up in Nacogdoches right now and thinking about giving it a go.. best lake we’ve fished so far is Pinkston, others haven’t been that great

Just wondering if Timpson might be worth a shot. Never have fished it or even seen it before.

Thanks

The lake is small and is very hit or miss, you either catch some or you catch none. However you aren’t gonna use much gas so that’s a plus.

Yup you can troll around the entire lake. We used to catch them decent on frogs and swim jigs in the shallow shoreline cover and at night in the creek above the island on black blue senkos. Mostly fished it during the spawn for bed fish. It used to have some fish kills every so often. Fun little lake but it's no Nacogdoches or naconiche

Grew up fishing there. Electric blue crawworms can be awesome. Its better fishing than anyone will ever say.

It was fun... lots and lots of grass. Biggest one 4lbs on a fire tiger shallow crank. Can’t say I’d rush back but it was worth the stop on the way back from Murvaul

Murvaul was awesome!!
