What are places you have been that anyone who loves to fish should have on their bucket list?

For me:
Brazil Rio Negro for Peacocks
Venice LA for Yellowfin then inshore
Mille Lacs
California delta
Baffin Bay
Fork
Sam Rayburn
Cocodorie, LA
Maine for Smallmouth...surprisingly good.
Cook Inlet Alaska for Halibut.
Sooke BC for Salmon

Places on my bucket list:
St Lawrence
Guntersville
Okeechobee
Clear Lake CA
Key West
St Clair
Costa Rica -Rooster Fish

I've been to almost everything in northeast Texas and north Louisiana and a couple in Arkansas, Oklahoma too, but my favorite place to go fishing that I have been to is the Alabama coast. I've caught fish there that absolutely destroyed light salt water tackle.

Bucket list places I have fished, most of them numerous times: Okeechobee, Kissimmee, Toho, Ocala National Forest lakes, all in Florida. Fork, Amistad, Falcon, Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, Camelot Bell.. Baccarac, Guerrero, El Salto, Picachos, Comedero in Mexico.
Clear Lake, the Delta, San Vicente, Berryessa in California. Guntersville. I have fished many more lakes than these but I guess they would not be considered bucket list lakes, just good to really good lakes.

On my to fish list; Sugar Lake, O.H. Ivie

Top of the Bucket List for me is Peacock Bass on the Rio Negro. I have heard so many good things about it.

Loved El Salto and plan on going back every chance I get.

You have to do it. It’s a great trip. I would recommend Ron Speed. That’s who we went with. Super outfit.

Boundary Waters are a must do! Very special place!

My list to fish are several more of the Mexico lakes, Alaska which I want to do a week long fly in trout/salmon trip, I would love to get back to the Klamath and Deschutes Rivers again, maybe stripers on the East coast, Venice LA, and pretty much any other ditch or puddle that I think holds a fish or two.

There are many places I would love to fish but I think the biggest thing is to fish more. I love to be on the water before the sun starts the day off. It seems like work life always affects the good things in life that should happen more often. I keep saying that Im going to leave a rod in my truck to just make a cast wherever possible.

I have been a lot more places than that. Worked for the same company for 40 years. Worked my way up from minimum wage. Blessed and worked hard. Now have 6 weeks vacation and every other Friday off. So 11 weeks per year off. 7 years until retirement.

Other places I have been on vacation....44 of the states. Kenya, Tanzania, Ecuador, Galapagos, France, China, Jamaica, Amsterdam, Cancun. Playa del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta, Panama, Calgary, Scotland and more to come.

Headed to Alaska Silver Salmon Creek lodge in June.

Headed to Venice La for a week this Sunday.
