OH Ivie Trip - 04/24/21 02:45 PM

Going to scope out OH Ivie next Friday for some future bass trips. Will be coming from Fredericksburg. Any suggestions on where my wife and I should stay?

Elm creek, sportsman’s or concho is about all you have, depends what end of the lake you want to fish.

Highly recommend Elm Creek! Great people and great place. I heard concho was good too...but after my stay at elm creek thats where ill be staying when I go. they can also leave food in your room for you if you stay on the water later than they keep the restaurant open which is a nice bonus. Only complaint was wifi...not all the rooms pick up a good wifi signal. I needed it for work...but all I had to do was hang out around the restuarant and id be able to pick up a signal and do what I needed to do.

Another thing...they have gas, but if you need ethanol free like I did you need to go to concho and neither has on the water pumps.

I know you probably dont since Im pretty sure I was the only goober out there with a 2wd truck LOL....but i feel the concho ramps were a bit steeper than the elm creek ramps. So much so that I drove back to elm creek after filling up at concho one morning. Not by much...but with my luck i wasnt gonna test it because it did look to be a little steeper of an angle.

I've never had to use 4wd at the Concho ramps.

just trying to give a heads up bud, not trying to argue. Like I said, i drove back to elm as not to risk it. So just wanting to let him know since he's likely a first timer like I was 🤷‍♂️

It was meant to be informative not to argue.

I am a big fan of Sportsman Lodge. Better beds, better showers, better TVs. Nothing against the other two. All nice people.
