Me and 3 friends (two boats) are planning a trip and need some lodging close to the 147 bridge. Please let me know if you have a recommendation.

Lakeview on the West side or Jackson Hill on the East side. Both no-frills kind of places, but both serve the purpose. Lakeview has some good chow as well.

Lakeview burgers are gooooood! As are the breakfast sammiches.

Janes Shady Acres is not far away either, she has trailers for rent.

Lakeview. Rooms are relatively nice (no 5 star by any means.) they also just renovated the old hotel across 147.

At one time, didn't Lakeview close? I used to stay there in the early 90's but I seem to remember it closing. I guess it reopened.

We stayed at Lakeview last year, it had beds, tv, a place to charge the boat and it was clean. Breakfast in the store was not bad either. If you are coming in late, make sure you let them know!

While y'all are talking food gotta make the 5 mile drive into Zavalla to Baitshop Bar BQ. Finger licking good Bar BQ. Just make sure you drive the speed limit in Zavalla city limits and I can't stress that enough.
