12.81 @ Sandlin today.....

New lake record caught by one of the HS kids today .

Congrats are certainly due. It was tough fishing for most everyone.

He is also a regular here so I'm not going to name him - I'm sure he will be along shortly with his story!

Lake record is a little over 14 pounds I believe. So another SAL was caught today!

Congrats to the young man. I was at the weigh in and that was a pretty fish. I think he weighed in 4 fish for 22-somthing.

LOTS of back history here..... Kid has been whacking fish (and we've been following him) since he was 7.
If you met him, he's a fantastic kid and is very unassuming. Just has a passion to fish and is better than most that are in this page.

No doubt, Pake has been catching bass that put most of us to shame for years. Calling him the next KVD is no exaggeration.

Not questioning whether he is great kid.

Or even that he is a great fisherman.

Thanks for all the kind comments and congratulations. Please forgive us for not responding sooner. Things have been super busy around the the house. We were busy with church and family yesterday and Pake had a lot of home work to catch up with. Pake will be around later this evening and make a post and maybe some other pictures. It was a great day for sure!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I am truly humbled by some of the comments. It was an awesome day for sure! God has truly blessed me over and over, and I give Him the glory! I would post some pictures but I think everyone has already seen them. With God's help I hope to accomplish much more in the future.

You think Athens will ever update their SAL list?

We have the packet, the weigh in ticket with the weight and collected the scales from the fish but have not sent it in yet for Pake's fish. Hopefully, we will get it in the mail in the morning.
