Fishing Trip.. - 02/17/21 04:23 PM

1st to those w/o power my thoughts are with you..Gods Speed

Well been thinking of going on a little fishing getaway in April.
Now I have Cabin Fever and trying to figure out where..

Sam Rayburn
Caddo
Mcgee Creek
Palestine
T-Bend
Texoma (catching a Smallie..bucket list)
etc.

Where would you think to go for say a 3 day stay within 4 hrs of Fork.
Large Bass a must..and a good place to stay.

If you have a somewhat secret spot it's ok to pm. thumb

thanks in advance.

If you stay on Caddo you can fish Rayburn and T-Bend one day each.

Lake Naconiche right above Nacogdoches. They have very nice rental cabins right on the water. Two hour drive from Fork.

Nacogdoches area would be cool. Can fish lake Nacogdoches, Naconiche and Big Sam. Chance to catch good fish at all 3. I bet the last week of March would be great for all 3.

There’s a cool lil’ one bedroom farmhouse on air bnb for relatively cheap that is super nice and great protection from theft for your gear since your off the road a good ways and it’s fenced. It’s a large family owned and worked daily farm.

I wouldn’t include Caddo on ur get away trip. Much better lakes to our south that have been suggested

Pinkston is just east of Nacogdoches. Another good small lake to fish.
