Coming soon to a lake near you

I guess wake boats weren't obnoxious enough. They're getting bigger. Much bigger. Check out the new Gigawave wake boat. It's supposed to make double the wake of any other wake boat. Just think about all of the swamped boats and anglers thrown overboard. This is crazy.

I think some lawyers are looking at it with high anticipation!

If this becomes reality...I sure hope that it's banned for sale / use on the waters here. They can only be seen as a hazard to people and the environment (erosion).

Great idea. Artificially create large waves to help speed up erosion to the shorelines and shorten the life of seawalls, docks, and send water into smaller boats.

And all of the sudden we expect local, state, or national “authorities” to make the right regulatory decisions on something like this? I’m skeptical...

Wouldn't a good video of them destroying a dock with their wake be good for a law suit?

I hope they will be using electric motors, you know, to help the environment.

The wave deal might be cool for some but the hull, top & cap looks really lame.

I can see them getting in trouble on most lakes, since you are responsible for damage caused by your wake.

This is not a true statement. Never has anyone shown any responsibility for the damage their wave has done. Never

Didn't they say it weighs 30 tons? Have to pull it with an 18 wheeler.

Re: Coming soon to a lake near you - 02/04/21 01:46 PM

At 35' you would have to have an 18-wheeler to pull it but at $600,000.00 we probably won't see many.

Don’t underestimate the power of egotism. I have customers that defy the logic of a “good investment” EVERY DAY.

I have seen a lot of damage to shore lines just from wake boats but this is crazy

Re: Coming soon to a lake near you - 02/05/21 04:22 PM

Take it out in the afternoon and swamp all of the other wake board boats.
