Tungsten weight on texas rig? - 01/28/21 03:19 AM
What size tungsten weight do you guys use if your fishing a texas rig senko with a bobber stop?
Is it better to fish with a bobber stop or without?

3/16 or 1/4oz for me pretty much always on all T-rigged baits. Sometimes a little larger if bigger baits(10-12” worms) or fishing real deep. Bobber stop only when flipping heavy cover for me.

3/16 just seems to work better for me

1/4 oz in water over 20' with a bobber stop.
3/16 oz in water less than 10' deep without a bobber stop.
Bobber stop to me is just when I'm flipping heavy cover.

1/16 to 1/8 in shallow water (5' or less)
1/8 - 3/8 in medium depth (5' - 12')
3/8-1 oz in deep water (12'+)
Light cover = No stop
Heavy cover = Stop (sometimes two, depending on the weight size)
