Battery Strap - 01/27/21 08:29 PM
Could someone recommend battery straps that ratchet down? The ones that came with my new boat have a plastic buckle and are not secure enough.
Thanks

I’m Assuming you have trays? As crazy as it sounds I’ve begun using 24 inch long Industrial zip ties. Cinch em down and the battery doesn’t move. They’re cheap and hold very well, never had one break either. Slides under tray pretty easily. I get them at wal mart and carry a couple spares just in case.
The crazy part is most of our trays are just screwed into the fiberglass...
I added a bunch of screws to mine worried about them coming loose.

Group size 27 battery is about 31 inches "around". How long are those 24" zip ties.

We sell the white ones that are 36" long to our A/C Contractors.
I never knew Walmart sold them and if people pay that much we need to raise our prices a good bit!
