Well, I'm sure you already know. Why being the biggest. Expo now? They already had an agreement for next year as well? Then you could obviously see that there will be negativity towards the organization after all theyve done. It will be the normal stuff about screwing over anglers, always changing everything, etc. My guess as to why, they were getting a ton of negative feedback from fans and decided to move it. I'm sure it will be blamed on covid, and that may be the case.

Or maybe go read the article. They give pretty clear reasons why they moved it from what I can see and even have quotes from some of the pros on the decision. They also discuss the expo or lack there of.

I can't wait to watch this. But it is insane how often these guys change things. Even in the Covid era.

I’ve noticed on social media a lot more of the pro’s taking trips down before off limits. They’ve all mentioned “learning the lay of the lake”. KVD drove down and was on the water last week when all the snow came through.

I'm not at all familiar with Palestine. Has there ever been this big of a tournament on that lake?

Re: 2021 MLF Redcrest Moved - 01/15/21 08:29 PM

Going to be a good tournament for February... looking forward to seeing some big fish. It not like anyone that bass fished in Texas didn't know how good those three spots on Palestine were in the prespawn were anyway. Having MLF there won't make it any easier to navigate roflmao

This biggest tournament in my 12 years here was the Texas Team Trail Championship a few years ago.

If the weather cooperates, they will smash on them like a sophomore on prom night. If the wether doesn't cooperate then it will be like bedtime in a 40 year marriage.

Off limits starts Jan 20 so there should be a bunch of guys down there practicing in the next few days

if you mean big "pro" BASS or MLF tournament, then no, this is the highest level pro tournament to come here. As far as big like large, the FLW/BFL Cowboy division used to put 200 boats on the water....to this day have never seen The Villages as such a cluster trying to load boats at weigh in...it was a mess.
Have seen a few guys out practicing but should be more before the 1/20 off limits.....will be fun one to watch

How is this bitter cold going to affect this tournament under their format?, days may still not be reaching highs above freezing during official practice.

Gonna be some brisk days to practice! helpsign

I would think the pattern would be different after it warms back up so would there be any reason to practice other that just getting familiar with the lake? confused 3
