Soft plastic makers - 12/16/20 06:09 PM

I know this has been discussed on here before, but i cannot seem to find it when I search. Is there anyone y'all can recommend that is local to the dallas area that makes their own soft plastics? I would like to support local guys as opposed to giving my phone to the big guys. TIA

Double ZZ custom lures. Anyone know why they quit making their stud frys? I think they called them texas tickler or something like that.

Rube out of LoneOak
You can stand there and tweak colors to your liking. He has a endless number of molds. And he is a lot cheaper then most guys. If he doesn't have a mold you are looking for there is a guy that makes them for me out of the Ukraine. Outstanding CNC work better then anything you will find here in the states.

Lastly is one of my old school favorites the 8” trick worm. I see your in Wylie, our shop is in Rowlett so right around the corner. Let me know if we can help you!

Thats the kicker fish mold, the old bps stud fry the tentacle thingys were concave not convex like the smash tech fry. The plastic was different too, ZZ was the closest thing I found to the stud fry after it was discontinued. Yum may have that mold now, I have some bargain bin walmart yum frys but they have a grub tail.

I was on the TFF years ago and stumbled across a thread..the pics of the snakes were dope. I don't know how any list of plastic bait makers in Texas could leave these people off of their list. Every Spring I have these on the rod.

Fringe Tackle has really downsized their production.
Think they still make some swimbaits from time to time in limited production, but heard a rumor they are transitioning their business model and might be selling their molds.

I can't say much about the new model other than it's diverse on several levels.
I know Jeff is working with 2 people currently in creating their own product lines...both in TX.
If there was ever a person blessed with a set of gills I know the one.
"I'm sorry I got old on you"...my gut dropped cause I knew the baits I've been fishing were going to go away.
Relative Jeff told me the story how he met Mark Pack and the relationship they've had over the years. Mark took Jeff to dinner one night at Saltgrass...Mark ordered a T bone...picked the bone up and went after it...what Mark didn't know was that he had a huge hole in his fishing shorts on the back side..."did you know that was there?" yea but I'm a fisherman < epic Mark Pack
