Looking for a 6/0 or 7/0 hook on a 1/2 and 3/4 Swing Jig.

Any recommendations?

I don’t remember the guys name, but I bought some last year at Fun-N-Suns fishing “expo”. They were his own made design. They had a football head and a 5/0 Trokar EWG heavy gauge hook. He had a set with two each, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1oz. 3/0, 4/0, 5/0 hooks. Black powder coated set and a Green Pumpkin set.

Really well made, and I think I paid $20 for the entire set in black and GP.

Maybe someone will remember his name or brand name.

He surely could make some with bigger hooks on a special order type arrangement.

There are some with a bullet shaped head that you can change out the hooks on. Im getting old and can't remember the name of them. Tackle Warehouse might have them. They have some at Lake Fork Resort. Call them and ask, at least they can give you the name of them. They make them from 1/8-1oz.

Found them at Tackle Warehouse. Freedom tackle jig heads.

Strike King makes just the head that you can use any hook you want.

Rivera Tackle has both 6/0 and 7/0 as options. Owner EWG hooks according to the description

I've never bought the swing heads but I bought Carolina & drop shot tungsten from him. Great prices and quick shipping.

I have a bunch of those and don’t trust them holding up to Baccarac fish. Once you start twisting that metal around to get the hook on it seems too suspect for giant fish.

Still no luck finding any 6/0 and 7/0 sizes.

Anyone have any other manufacture recommendations?

Order the heads through Lurepartsonline. They sell the hooks and split rings. Build away.

I make my own
When the hook is too large, there is almost no action.
What weight and hook do you want and how many?
In the classifieds, a user has a thread titled real football swing heads. Have you contacted him?

I use the gambler goat in super thick stuff and if crazy how good it runs through grass. The hook is a 5 or 6. You'll never get a football head through that stuff.
