Pro’s and con’s jitterbug vs buzzbaits - 11/13/20 02:14 AM
What do you like better? Why?
You can stop a jitterbug but buzzbaits sink
You can bend the lips on a jitterbug for different action, up or down
Or just one side to skitter the bait
What else?

There are weedless jitterbugs, and jitterbugs are just as big as any buzzbaits, just as big fish, besides big baits don’t equal big bass, Stevenson’s lake fork state record was caught crappie fishing with a minnow! I’ve seen lots of big baits catch a bass no bigger than the bait!

Getting the name right matters a little bit.

Goober what is the biggest bass you’ve ever caught? Curious because most of your post make no damn since. Please post pics of your mighty catches. I’m sure all would like to see

I use the micro Jitterbug on 4# test with a 2oz sinker above a 6' 2# leader on a ultralight 51/2 ft spinning rod , but only in the back of creeks in a canoe.

But remember that it HAS to have a white bottom because that's what color jitterbugs are in the wild.

Your not adding anything smart [censored]!
Biggest on a buzzbait 4 pounds, 7 & 1/2 on a spinnerbait, 8 on a bagleys ratfink topwater, 11 on a 6” ribbon tail worm, and 12 pounder on a tiny torpedo! I don’t know how to load pics on this site, I’ve caught 10 times as many on the jitterbug vs the buzzbait

I don't think bass are stupid enough to eat jitterbugs anymore. And it's hard to think of a reason jb over bb, maybe fishing at night it was so fun to hear it chugging away in the dark.

Stop and go retrieve only a jb
Tune the blades so the jb skitters
It’s all good both are great baits
But there’s pro’s and con’s

I caught a nice bass on a wake bait today, first ever on that lure. It’s a pretty cool topwater lure too. Does not come through floating leaves well.
The JB and BB each have their pros and cons depending on the situation.

I catch a lot of fish on the large Jitterbug.
