These were my uncles rods. I cannot find anything on these rods. They are salt water rods, but I was thinking I can use them for freshwater. Any thoughts on this?

No the freshwater will melt them.

Haha, I guess I asked for that. I mean is there any performance reason those rods would not work as well as a "bass" rod.

As long as you only use 4# line, tiny 1" grubs, and fish from a small Jon boat you will be fine. Otherwise you are just trying to be a "He Man"

those look just like my rodsmith bass rods, have one in the mh/fast and still use it off and on after about 15 yrs. of having it.

Just curious - graphite or fiberglass? I fished with a 50 year old glass rod recently and liked it.

You can absolutely use those rods for fresh water. They may not be stiff enough to use as a worm rod but it is impossible to tell without handling one.

Just looking at the label on them the top one looks like it would be a good rod for crankbaits & spinnerbaits. The bottom rod has a lower weight rating but should still be good for treble hooked baits. You don't need a rod with a lot of backbone for treble hooked lures.

I don't think either one of them are stiff enough to adequately set the hook with a Texas rigged or C-rigged soft plastic bait.

Won't be able to find them. Seems Goober (GRUBEN) got banned and his entertaining threads did too.
