Only 1 person fishing at a time, that way you have a dedicated net man to scoop the fish up as soon as you hook them. Just have to decide who is the better fisherman to determine who the net-man is.

I usually position the boat so that my backseat guy can fish the dock itself, and I'll fish the area around the dock with a c-rig or shakey head. Quite often, there are more fish around the dock than under it or up against it. Lots of dock owners put brushpiles and rock piles around their dock about half a cast away. Those fish get ignored by all the guys that just come by and pitch/flip the dock itself.

I team fish a lot. When it’s docks, I man the fairy wand with a wacky rigged senko and skip WAY under and to the back from the bow and my partner hits the slips, edges, and sides with a shaky head from the back of the boat. Works for us, most of the time. We move fast and hit only the high percentage spots.

Whoever is fishing from the back needs to move to the front deck when needs to. In a Team tournament I do not care who catches them, I only care that they are landing in my boat.

Do you use a spinning rod shorter than 7ft for skipping?

There is a substantial number of docks with brush piles relating to them or close to them. Man up front fishes the dock and the other fisherman fishes the brush pile. Look for brush piles between docks or setting a short distance out in front of the dock. Kill two birds with one shot.

Nobody fishes off my back deck. If you get in my boat you better be right beside me on the front

I can't stand anyone on back. I don't want to have to worry about where the back of the boat is. Much easier to fish side by side

Right there with ya Dubee. IF it's in a tourney for sure, but even if it's for fun, if it's on with dock fishing I want whoever I'm with to be able to catch em too! But for tourneys...no doubt. Elbow to elbow!

I'm so used to someone being on the front and fishing that way that if you choose to sit in the back - you will end up getting front ended. Not my intention but I'm not used to someone being on the back decl.

Until we are dialed in to what the fish prefer one of us throws a jig/plastic and the other throws a moving bait. If we catch one off a dock we hit it a little harder with jig/plastic

360 or Garmin Livescope better for docks?
