I hope its Texoma but if I was betting I'd say Sabine river.

Re: Bass Champs Championship Lake - 08/03/20 09:35 PM

I have my doubts on Texoma with the Corps cancelling the tournament permit Champs had for the tournament that was supposed to be there instead of Tawakoni. I think they may actually have more options with the current situation. Not really having to set up for a banquet or anything requiring space for a huge crowd of people. I think Ivie or PK could play.

Re: Bass Champs Championship Lake - 08/03/20 11:08 PM

I don't think Texoma because it was on the regular schedule. You have to remember they get paid to bring the event so a remote area without a city or aggressive chamber of commerce wont be a player.

I think sabine because it's been a while and supposedly the fishing has improved, the case for that is stronger with BASS Elites cancelling.

I think Red because they are aggressive in bringing events but they may be COVID chickens and not want crowds.

Lew makes financial sense too because its been a good while since they were there and again the surrounding area benefits.

Rayburn.....maybe but I think the shoot out was that local commitment

All I know is that red river south Marina is completely booked for those dates...

Re: Bass Champs Championship Lake - 08/03/20 11:24 PM

I hope it’s Conroe..fishing has been good last few months, grass has really taken off like I haven’t seen in some time down there and it’s not on the regular schedule.

I thought about checking availability there! Do you think it’s speculation?

Never been to the Sabine. The Red River is a train wreck. If I never go there again it's too soon. Love it on Lewisville. Still leaning towards Texoma.

Ivie sounds fun. Venice, LA sounds more fun! Lets change it to an offshore tournament! LOL!

That would be an EPIC cluster between that and the dam. You might see more than one fist fight.

Did not know that they cancelled the permit, how did they have the Ray Roberts event ? It is a Corp lake.
