Taking my boy fishing - 07/22/20 03:01 AM
Bob Sandlin has been decent on 10" ol monsters and crigs in 15-25 feet of water. Pines was slow for me at ABA last Weekend , but managed a limit, 8-12 feet deep baby brush hogs on secondary points. Now my question. What is the best lake within 2 hrs of McKinney for numbers. For him, I don't need size , I need action.
Go!!
Cypress for NUMBERS of spots, Athens for numbers and size.

Athens for large mouth. Cedar Creek if ya just want action. Tons of sandbass and they're on fire right now.

From McKinney I would run up to Texoma. You never know what you will bump into up there!

Sit in front of the dam and chase the 3 pound schoolers with a wacky rig. Never gets old.

My rig will never see Athens again unless someone invites me to go with them
