Lone Star or LOP? - 07/02/20 11:38 PM

Taking my 20 year old son tomorrow to either Pines or Lone Star. Have never fished either. Prefer numbers to size with him. Which would you suggest??

Welsh for numbers?
Cold water intake area?

Lone Star is a smaller lake and good for numbers right now. Might have to burn some gas on The Pines to find them bunched up.

Hey Doc, do you know if Welsh ever got the pump going at the damn?

Wish I knew. Haven’t fished there in a while.

Welsh has plenty of water to launch, my 19 ft skeeter has no problem loading or unloading. Plenty of grass. It was slow for me last week. Just take a frog and punching rig with ya. Sometimes I do decent slow rolling soft plastic swimbaits through the grass!
