Have you updated to the latest software version? I ran a small wire from the skeg area of the trolling motor to the negative wire powering the trolling motor and that cleared all of my interference up. Only takes a few minutes and possibly an easy fix. You can see the difference by adding the wire.
Yes, I have the latest software updates. A direct ground wire to the battery should clear up any interference.
scroll up and read my first message to you, on 7-2. Did you run that ground?
my shielding wire isnt hooked up and I have no issues.

http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=1057542Didn't seem to make a difference. I think it is a ground issue.
Did you run a ground down to the tm?
Ive helped a lot of people on the lake with issues, usually if they run a wire from the tm negative down to the tm head it solves it... Mine is a hose clamp around the head with a spot ground bare and the wire connector under it. at the other end your going to the negative at the tm from the battery not in the tm head w the fuse.
