Ray Bob 5-20 - 05/03/20 12:53 AM
I was at Ray Bob today at daylight. Fished around Wolf Creek and Wolf Island deep in the coves and off points. I fished deep and shallow. I tried rocky areas, trees and grass. I threw everything in the boat without a bite.
A pesky little thunderstorm popped up with rain and lightning for about 30 minutes. The water was 75 degrees and stained.
I decided to move to the south end of the lake later in the morning and fished some rocks there. The fish were up in the rocks sunning themselves. I threw a pumpkin-watermelon Senko, Texas rigged and caught three drinks. Two of them were about 2 pounds. All three fish were within 2 feet of the bank in little pockets between the rocks.
The wind picked up around 11:00 and ended my day. There weren't may boats on the water and only about 10 trailers at Isle Du Bois when I returned. The parking lot was full of people flying kites, picnicking and wandering around. When I left the park I noticed they had the Park Full sign up and weren't letting people in. Get your park pass in advance!
Good luck in your outings.
