Social Distance - 04/26/20 10:37 PM

Social Distance. I'm not sure that is in some peoples vocabulary. I passed over Dam area at Pines today and it looked like a holiday. The ramp areas you could see were packed. I here of people trying to cut back and conserve but I dont see it. I guess with the meat shortage coming they trying to fill freezer with fish. That must be why there 7 or 8 people in all the ski boats.

Well at least they are not all crowded into a grocery store or Lowe's. Better for them to be outside in the warm weather. Pretty sure you will not catch it driving over the damn. Hope everyone had a great weekend on the water.

I will say after fishing 2 days this week utilizing a state park to launch, almost nobody was wearing any sort of face covering/buff. Parking lot was packed during the week on a lake that is typically pretty darn quiet on weekdays.

Oh and on another subject, if the ramp you launch at has 2 crappy docks that are half out of the water and only hold 1 boat on each side and there is 20 boats trying to launch, don’t park your boat like a T at the end of the dock completely blocking both sides of the dock. And yes I said something to the person and he got pissed at me, but did move his boat, common sense goes a long way! Enjoy the nice weather!

Lowes, I tried to get some stuff I needed for work last weekend at Lowes. I thought they must have been giving everything away for free. I had to park in a closed business and walk acoss to Lowes.
Talk about trying to launch at pines, thats a joke. I have fish alot of places in my life and I have never seen so many people that back down the middle of a 2 spot ramp then stop and get all 10 kids and garage full of [censored] loaded in the boat. I hope things will get back to some kind of normal soon, people have too much time on there hands. They need to be working so they are tired and not out so much.

At Pool tonight it was backed up all the way to the turn off Lynn Creek. I had to drive down the grass on the right to get to the marina parking. That means there were at least 20 people waiting to launch or pick up and that's a 3 boat ramp. Yesterday there was a corvette convention going on in the grass with all these dudes getting in and out of each others cars. We'd be in worse shape than NY except nobody has to ride a train to move around. Crazy. I can pretty much stay away from anyone but I have to step out of the dock walkway if someone comes by. But with all these nimrods packing 3 families in. a wake boat what good does it do?

I saw a family with one of those deck boats and 2 kids were literally sitting on those front decks. They were idling out of the marina and I'm thinking that's stinking dangerous but they are going slow. Then they get to the end of the no wake zone and daddy punches it. If a kid would have fallen forward, he's probably dead. WTF is wrong with people?

Some of the new data out shows that UV light kills the covid-19 virus basically on contact. Outside is the safest place you could possibly be. With that said, if a few of the idiots in wake boats that almost sunk me yesterday come down with a raging case of the Covid.......I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.

Sooooo, I don't know how many of you were there. But did you see the sh*t show going on at Jordan Moore yesterday?

I arrived at 7:30 AM to find the parking lot, overflow, and entry road full of truck/trailers.

It was insane. I still launched, knowing better, got off the water at 1:30 PM. It wasn't bad, but a slow process for sure.

I heard later that day, it got STOOOOPID at the ramp when everyone decided it was time to leave.

Man , all lakes are like that right now. I couldn't believe the 66 ramp on Hubbard yesterday and TRoss said that Lavon was the same way.

I think part of it for me its the fact that there are tons more on these lakes than there was 5 years ago.

Tawakoni had more boats on it than I have ever seen before. Most were running in circles or partying
